Biologics are very good drugs, if used judiciously and has changed the way RA can be treated. You can technically use leflunomide, methotrexate etc, but many times they are intolerable. RA is a disease which makes you miserable, which is sometimes more worse than cancer which either kills or gets cured (I have put it simply and morbidly but unfortunately people will spend anything for cancer even if they are dying, but will see side effects of biologics and not use them, hence the comparison). Yes you can. The drugs, you are taking are quite toxic.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital x rays of affected part.
Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder.
Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful
use no pillow under the head.
Do hot fomantation.
Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days.
Bio d3 max 1tab od x10.
Do neck, back & general exercises.
It may have to be further investigated.

Prednisolone should be weaned off gradually. Continue with other medicimes as before until all symptoms are controlled.
Kindly show me photograph& the x rays of the affected part.
Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder.

Thanks for your message. Well firstly I would like to modify her dmards. Probably we should methotrexate in combination with other drugs unless she has had intolerance to it. Yes hcqs has run out of stock in view of current corona crisis. But hopefully it will be back in stock. It has a long lasting effect so will stay in your system for couple of weeks.
