Asked for male, 49 years old from Dimapur

Sir I am a diabetic for 12 years and my hba1c never went up above 6.5.on last month my hba1c is 6.fasting blood sugar is 111 and ppg 132 (home test) lipid panel shows normal. Serum creatinine 0.93 .blood pressure normal. On teneligliptin 20 mg repace50 mg novastat 5 mg. Since 3 years I am on teneligliptin. Is teneligliptin a good medicine for preventing cardio problem for long time use or should I switch to other antidiabetic medicine? Daily food boiled rice 150 +150+100gram (uncooked) 3 times. Morning walk 60 minutes, yoga 15 minutes. Weight 58 kg, height 5.11.please suggest.

Yes it is a good drug but studies shows vildagliptin to be more potent and cardio-protective. You can consult your diabetologist and suggest him.

Sir I am a diabetic for 12 years. My hba1c is 5.9.fbs 100 and pps 132 (one touch select glucometer) lipid is good. S. Creatinine 0.74.lft and kft is in normal range. On teneligliptin 20 mg, metformin 250 mg, pioglitazone 7.5 my, benidipine 8 my novastat 10 mg and methypreg 75 Mr. The present problem is persistent pain on th upper back, hand fingers and severe knee and foot pain. Please suggest any medicine suitable for me.

Sir, I am a diabetic for a decade. Hba1c 6.2.lipid, kidney and liver profiles are normal. On novastat 10 mg, teneligliptin 20 mg, benidipine 8 mg, pioglitazone 7.5 mg. My fasting blood sugar 110 and ppg 135. B.p 116/79. For a month I have been suffering from neck mild pain, shoulder and upper back ribs pain and mild knee pain. I went to a cardiologist and ecg is normal. I was on pregabalin but I stopped becoz of edema or swelling as I am taking pioglitazone. Please suggest treatment for pain which I have mentioned. My egfr is normal. Weight 57 kg. Height 5.11.on diet compliance. Brisk walk daily.

Diabetic for 10 years. Daily 45 minutes brisk walk. On teneligliptin 20 mg, repace 50 mg, novastat 5 mg. Moderate diet. Please suggest.

Sir, in 2019, my microalbumin is 41.00 mg/l and creatinine is 108. 91 mg/dl .microalbumin creatinine ratio is 37.65 mg/great.in february 2020 it is <5.00 microalbumin and creatinine 63.29 .microalbumin creatinine ratio is 0.079.i m a diabetic for ten years. On teneligliptin 20 mg, repace50 mg, novastat 5 mg. Fasting 104 pps 142 ,lipid profile alright. Hba1c 6.4.please tell me whether my kidney is ok? Why my microalbumin was high in last year and microalbumin is <5.00 in this year?

Sir last year my spot urine microalbumin was checked and blood report as microalbumin and creatinine ratio is found as 37 .in february this year it is found as 0.079 .the reason for testing was caused by my burning sensation during pee and I am a diabetic for ten years on teneligliptin 20 mg, repace 50 mg and novastat 5 mg fbs 103 pps 140 ,hb1ac 6.4 ,lipid alright. Why the burning sensation recurs as I can not see an urologist during lock down. Please suggest.

Sir my postprandial blood sugar and bed time blood sugar is normal but fasting blood sugar is 135. I test blood sugar exactly after 8 hours of fasting. Age 48 ,height 5.11.40 minutes morning walk. 3 chappatis at 7 pm only night food but still fasting sugar is 135 .diabetes for 11 years. Lipid is alright. Hb1ac 6.4.serum creatinine 0.86.spot urine microalbumin <5.00 urine creatinine 62.29.postprandial 142 on teneligliptin 20 mg, repace 50 mg novastat 5 mg. Please suggest medicine.

First of all acc. To ada fasting value for diabetic 80-130 mg/dl
post prandial for diabetic <180 mg/dl
hba1c goal <7.5 %
and when we take blood glucose through glucometer than his reading is 10% high bcz of some capillary blood so just calm down and continue same drug.

Sir my diabetes is well controlled. Hba1c is 6.1.fbs 124. Lipid fine. Strict diet at night but still fbs is high. On teneligliptin 20 mg repace50 mg novastat 5 mg recently, I have developed other symptoms like burning sensation on the foot and paid on ankles, ligaments, neck and left shoulder, join pain in the fingers and elbow. Sir I am on teneligliptin 20 mg repace50 mg novastat 5 mg for 2 years recent blood test report (31/5/2020) hb1ac 6.1 but fasting sugar is 124 and pps 133 including bed time pps. My doctor has suggested to take pioz 15 after dinner. Can I take pioglitazone as it has safety concerns. I am a diabetic for 11 years. My kidney profile and lipid normal. Urine. Microalbumin creatinine ratio is 0.079.serum creatinine 0.86.on moderate diet, brisk walk 40 minutes. Night food only 3 chappatis. Please suggest as I am concerned for taking pioglitazone.

Hello, it seems like your sugar is well under control which is evident from hba1c value of 6.1.
Even other parameters are also normal so you can skip pioglitazone.
