Mr. lybrate-user m, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. I understand that you have diabetes and taking tablet diapride 1 mg (glimiperide 1 mg). But there is no mention about actual glucose levels (fasting, pp & hba1c%). Hence, there is no way to know what is the current situation. Secondly taking rosuvastatin 10 mg does not lead to any increase in the blood glucose levels. I do not know how this doubt has come. Another important aspect tgl 205 mg is not too high. More im...more

Coronary artery disease (cad) in a diabetic patient definitely need to be followed meticulously. Rosuvas and clopidogrel is rightly prescribed.
I am sure your diabetic medicines are also able to keep your sugar control.
Wanna ask you how was your coronary artery disease diagnosed?(any past history of heart attack/angiogram/stents)
if any please let me know about the complete diagnosis of your cad.

How high was your triglycerides? Rosuvas is for LDL cholesterol. F is fenofibrate, for people with triglycerides above 600. Fenofibrate is started directly only if there is very high triglycerides due to fasting chylomicronemia and if no cause like alcohol, diabetes, or very restricted diet is present, which can be corrected. Suggest you discuss your problem on phone. Best wishes.

Food does not change blood cholesterol, so whatever diet you take he numbers will be similar. One must take care of cholesterol if it is ALWAYS above 320. 275 is good, so best not to measure it again. Exercise helps to lower cholesterol. Rosuvastatin is required for people who already have heart trouble. Taking it before you fall sick is not so helpful. If you wish to avoid heart trouble discuss diet with people who are healthy at ninety. That is the sensible way.

Hello dear patient.
High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function.
Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke.
