It is better to improve diet to reduce triglycerides than to take medicines. Reduce alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods in diet. These are converted into triglycerides by the liver. Increase traditional health foods like yoghurt cheese nuts eggs butter etc. These do not go to the liver. Discuss VLDL and triglycerides with a MSc biochemistry, don't discuss with anybody less qualified in biochemistry.

Dear, You have two major risk factors for heart disease, hypertension and Diabetes. In addition, if you have a Positive TMT, I would advise you to undergo an angiography, just to find out what caused positive.

Hi,
Welcome.

First I want to know whether you have associated heart disease or diabetes. If no than you are taking very high dose.
I'll recommend decreasing the dose to 5 mg once daily.
If you have any heart disease, than this dose is fine.
Thanks.

lose 35.5 kgs to reach a bmi of 25 kg/m2.
2. Don't stop medications, instead consult with side effects you feel, it might not be related to the medication. 3. All these medicines are there to prevent risk of heart attack /stroke in future.
