Dear lybrate-user, if you are only taking medicines you will not improve completely. And if you are feeling well due to medicines this wellness stays as long as you continue to take medicines, but short after you stop the medicines the synonyms will return. If you want to get rid from anxiety and depression you have to work on your thought process, you require regular counselling sessions which will help you to stop medicines and improve your physical and mental health.

You may have suffered a condition called 'toxic psychosis', which will require this treatment. It generally lasts for about two years and it goes. However, in your condition it may be more serious: there could be a severe condition that demands this approach in order to prevent further deterioration.

Since you are already on medication I suggest you talk to your treating Psychiatrist and convey your current symptoms to them. It is possible that some changes in medication dosages will help improve the symptoms. As they are familiar with your history it is always better to have a discussion with them regarding this situation.

Meditation helps depression only by reducing the time of thinking about your actual troubling problems as you concentrate more on things unrelated to those problems at least for some time. There is no other proven benefits. So if you do meditation in all the time you are awake, then only it really helps you for the whole day. Seriously.
