You should notice change after 4 to 6 weeks but full recovery may take months. After recovery you should continue to take medicines till your psychiatrist advises you to stop. Very commonly it is seen that patients stop treatment after remission and subsequently they relapse. These medicines are safe for long term use. Good luck.

If a molecule (medicine) helps in one cell, in other unaffected cells they may have some unwanted effect. In allopathy in a tablet there is one molecule and side effects are less, and universally researched in all countries and approved by WHO. In alternative medication, herbal, siddha, ayurveda a single medicine mostly contains multiple molecules, poorly researched, falsely cla...more

Dear lybrate-user,
both fluoxetine and risperidone will not show up in drug screening. Drug screening is done for other addicting drugs. These 2 are not addicting drugs. They are essential drugs. All the best for upsc selection. Continue preparing.

Dear Lybrate user, At your age, Memory problems like amnesia are not common. Many young people are having problems with memory. These problems are either they are too busy or due to anxiety and stress. Busy people use organizers or employ a personal assistant because they can't remember every task. You need to understand this. If you still say, you are having memory problems, we need to check your memory using memory test. If you want more of my help in this regard, please contact me. Take care.

I think. As you r on medication since 2011 for ocd wid relieving symptoms. Symptoms you mentioned might be part of restless leg syndrome. Which can be because of medications ,anxiety. And other causes. Usually benzodiazepine like clonazepam is used which you r already taking. Yes in addition to this you can try trihexyphendyl or levodopa carbamamazapine. For your symptoms. U can also avoid caffeine. Maintain sleep hygiene. Leg massage can also help.
