Hello.
Since the onset of diabetes is so early in pregnancy and the blood sugar is not within target level it's will be best to shift to insulin rather than continuing with metformin.
The target of treatment should be fasting blood sugar less than 90 and 2 hours post prandial less than 120. With this calorie restriction and light physical restriction is also desirable.

Mr. lybrate-user Thanks for the query.
When extended release or sustained release Metformin tablet is being taken, some times one notices the the tablet being excreted from the stools. However, it is only containing the polymer used to make the drug release slowly in the gut. The drug is fully absorbed. It is only that polymer shell that comes out. Hence there is no reason to worry. Thanks.

It's OK. Both are of different OHA with different actions. Glycomet is Metformin which is biguinides n reduces hepatic glucose production while Tenepride is Tenligliptin belongs to a group of medicines called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which helps lower the blood glucose levels in the body.
