Hello, Thanks for the query.
From the details given it is clear that present treatment is not giving good control. There is a need for upgrading the treatment. Plus a need to look at the diet and extent of daily exercise. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <7. Looking at your weight and height it is clear that with a BMI of 34.56 kgs/Sq meter, you are already close to being ingrade 2 obesity. Your ideal bosy weight should be 56 kgs, which means there is an ...more

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. Since there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise, there is no way to give any suggestion. Secondly your bmi (body mass index) is 28.65 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter) which means you have an excess of over 15 kgs. This is a major hindrance in better glucose control. Plus I do not understand the reason for changing the medication. Please come ba...more

If you are not having any side effects like hypoglycemia, you should continue with the same treatment. Because if you reduce the dose, the chances are that blood sugar will creep up again. Also your triglyceride is high so, you should make life style modifications (low calorie diet & exercise) to bring it down.

Taking medicines is not enough. Is your diabetes (blood sugar) in control? what is your hba1c level? localized itching is often caused by uncontrolled diabetes. It can be caused by a yeast (fungal) infection, dry skin, or poor circulation. When poor circulation is the cause of itching, the itchiest areas may be the lower parts of the legs.
You may be able to treat itching yourself. First, control your blood sugar levels. Second, limit your showers or baths to no more than 10 minutes, pat dry...more

You add glyciphage 1 gm twice daily along with what you take now and let me know
it is not as easy task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (self-monitoring of blood glucose? smbg). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record.

Loss of sex desire in middle aged men can be because of your not good general health, your psychological status, partner`s bad health, partner`s sex problem, or non exciting partner. There is a condition called male menopause-andropause-low testosterone in middle aged men. You get testosterone blood test and consult a sexual medicine doctor.

You can take that but monitor your fasting and post prandial blood glucose levels with HBA1C. Don't good for random blood sugar.
