continue your other medicines.
for constipation You can take 2 tab. Charcoal at night. syp. Aristozyme 10 ml after meal.
avoid fast/oily foods,alcohol,smoking,junk foods,fatty foods,
take plenty of liquid diets.dalia,green veg.,fiber meals,juice,lassi,
if not cure then go for few tests .i.e. stool r/m, stool c/s, cbc, blood sugar,lft,and endoscopy of large intestine.
Do yoga/go for walk.

Its nice to share your concern about health problem of your loved one. See the patient with angioplasty and stent in place are kept on medication for a long time as preventive measures. Both medications you mentioned are have curative as well as preventive for a known CAD patient. You have not mentioned about BP. Please consult your treating physician for dose regulation. You can request dose regulation if the patient follows a good lifestyle modification and intervention.

You are right , these are side effects of medicines, Atovastin is to lower cholesterol but it does lead to cognitive dysfunction , strain on kidneys and heart. Some doctors are giving it twice a week, others are asking to eat less fats and keep good fats in the blood on higher side. Ramipril is ACE inhibitor with its own side effects , it is given to bring down BP. You can try Safe Beta Blockers like Metoprolol which is protective for heart also, Monitor the dose accordingly.
