Hi, Ideally if your haemoglobin remains this low consistently, then find out the reason if you are Thalessemic minor. One tablet of iron per day should be fine as too much iron can lead to contipation. Also it gets stored in the liver.

Hi, Anemia is when your hemoglobin is below 11 or 12. Dietary iron rich sources are Halim seeds (Soaked and had with lemon), Dark green leafy vegetables, Date, anjeer ,Red Poha, Bajra, Watermelon etc. Any other iron supplement can be tried like Dexorange or Raricap. Drink a glass of water every hour to avoid headaches.

If you can tolerate Iron pills, it is better to take them for 2 months and stop.
No need to repeat ferritin levels after that.
