Recovery from a psychiatric illness varies. It may take 2-8 weeks to achieve a significant amount of improvement in symptoms. To see the effects of a particular antidepressant, atleast 2-4 weeks may be required. In this particular case, the doses may be increased further to look for improvement. If there is no improvement even after that, then there would a need to change the antidepressant or try another treatment modality.

Dear Harish,
i don't understand your question clearly. But i can understand your doctor's struggle to help you with combination of antidepressants. Your recent symptoms are not due to mirtazapine. Either they are due to withdrawal of quetiapine or your own disorder recurring at this time again. However please discuss clearly with your doctor your concerns.

Lorazepam addiction also needs treatment along with your depression. Though you have mentioned the tablets name, you have not mentioned the maximum dose tried and the duration of each tablet taken. If it is maximum dose and adequate duration, you will be given add-ons of intractable depression. There are many more that will be added to your antidepressant. Any therapy if added, most of the psycho social problems of depression can be resolved. Your quality of life will improve in...more

First, we need to be sure of diagnosis before commenting on medications. But, at the outset. Does'nt make sense giving antipsychotics and antidepressants considering the doses in which they have been prescribed.
