Hi there, Sertraline is better drug as far as social anxiety is concerned. However, whatever you're doing, do it with your treating psychiatrist's consultation.
Also, discuss with your therapist if he can teach you mindful meditation and offer forms of behavioural therapies.

You need to take medication as per your doctor's recommendation. Do not discontinue, alter, modify or change it in any way. Take it for the prescribed period of time. Premature termination of treatment can lead to relapse or worsening of symptoms. It becomes more difficult to treat after that.

Dear sir, I'm 27 year old guy, by profession I am a Medical representative living in a small village of Gujarat. I'm having problem because of my spouse, she always object my every decision, never supported me if I have done anything good for me or both of us. It is like she always do the things which makes me uncomfortable/unhappy. I have tried many times to make my married life but she is not interested, in fact telling me take your children and live your life, such a emotion less lady. My father in law and her relatives also expect that I live life on their condition. My father is a respected person in my village and nearby villages and he is also telling me, you understand because you are a mature man" So everyone is trying to advise me instead them as they are in faults (some faults they have made I don't want to disclose, it may go a legal matter for them. Sometimes I feel I leave these all but then I change for my childrens. I am having low mood, not talking to anyone in family, concentration problem, not able to decide, not able to go in crowd, always think of future. I have tried prothiaden 75 (Dosulepin 75 mg) my own for 4 months but no change in all symptoms. Sir, Please guide me now what can I do?
