Hi, my doctor has me to take nidagen 200 mg twice a day from my the time my pregnancy was confirmed. Is it necessary to take nidagen for all women? Or is there any harmful effect of it?

Nidagen is medicine use to support during pregnancy. It prevent miscarriage happening if you have history of recurrent abortion then this medicine will help prevent. Its not necessary for all female during pregnancy.

I am lakshmi, I was pregnant (TEST TUBE BABY, yesterday stomach pain doctor suggest do pre pregnancy test .pre pregnancy test is positive there is no problem and little bit of solution (white+maroon) out. Daily I used insert progesterone 400 mg tablet morning and night, daily night progesterone 100 mg injection daily. Why this solution came and need any progesterone high dose injection (500 mg) .use for better. Give me your valuable suggestion for my situation.

I am 22 years old, not trying to get pregnant. I asked my doctor to prescribe medicine for pcos to have regular periods- she gave me susten 300. I had susten 300 in october- around 15th for 3 days and I got my periods. I did’t take the medicine in november. I took susten from around 29th november and already had the 10 medicines prescribed- I am still not getting my periods. It’s been 2 weeks since I had sex, the results are also negative. I need to know why am I not having periods even after taking susten.

Susten is a progesterone. If your Endometrium is very thin, you will not get withdrawal bleeding after progesterone.

Hi doctor doctor suggested me to take susten 200 mg for 15 days as I am trying to get pregnant. But on 10th day I got my period. Do I need to stop the medicine.

Hi lybrate-user, you need to stop progesterone as it is given for support and you have already gotten your periods.

Hello I am 9 week pregnant and my progesterone level is 13 and in my torch IgG test rubella is <5 so it is harmful for me and my baby . Its my first pregnancy . I take duphaston , susten injection 200mg and susten 400 mg insert in vagina . Now I am very scared about rubella . Please suggest me.

Is IgM positive? then you will have to worry. IgG positive means you are immune to Rubella, which actually is GOOD for you.

My name is harsha and my age is 27. I am 20 weeks pregnant. On my 2 month of pregnancy my doctor started me to give susten 200 (progesterone) tablets. In 4th month also she prescribed me that tablets. But now due to lighten I am unable to contact her. Can I still use that susten 200 tablets along with folic or not. And my 5th month scan was not done. Is it fine when we taken it in 6th month. Please help me.

you can stop taking tab susten now .you need to take iron and calcium supplements.
level 2 scan should be done by 20 weeks of pregnancy ,if due to lockdown not able to get it done ,get it done later when things get normal

I am 39 years old, 9 weeks pregnant, conceived through ivf, I gave had 2 failed ivf cycles and 1 miscarriage at 14 weeks. The transfer was done in india & now I am in uae. I have been using vaginal tablets endogest 200 (2-2-2 daily) each capsule has progesterone ip 200 mg (micronised). The Dr. here has suggest to skip those tablets & use a vaginal gel crinone 8%,each application has 90 mg dose of progesterone which has to be applied once daily. My concern is that the dosage does not seem similar. Also as per my recent scan the baby has been developing fine, apart from the suppositories I am taking evadiol/ aspirin/ folic/ duphaston/ aquagest injection & argimust sachets. On the day of the scan the Dr. also prescribed injection primolut depot. 2 ml to be taken just once. I am confused, if it's ok to switch to the gel, when everything is going fine, also the dosage seems different. Please advice.

Hello Dr. I am 36 yrs. I am five weeks pregnant, and This is my second child, and the first one is 6 years old. No history of complications, or miscarriages. My doctor prescribed sysfol folic acid tablet and susten 200 for me. She didn't do any tests, or test the progesterone level. Booked for an ultra sound and some normal tests after 15 days Although I read from the internet that this extra progesterone could be dangerous. Pls help!

Actually looking at your age Dr. has prescribed you pregnancy support pills, there is nothing wrong even if you take them till you complete 12 wks, alternatively you may discontinue if you may wish to post your Ultrasound and other routine antinatal tests if all reports are normal.
