Hello,
yes these are progesterone and offered to support pregnancy if you become pregnant. So its better to get a urine pregnancy test done first and if positive then continue but if negative then can stop it to allow your menses to resume.

Google medical information for patients does more harm than good.
It is progesterone hormone which can be used in non pregnant patient to bring about withdrawal bleeding but is supporting pregnancy in pregnant patients.

Progesterones of all forms are safer in pregnancy. They do not help getting pregnant but help maintain the pregnancy in a assisted conception setting. Normally not used following a spontaneous conception. I hope I have addressed your concern. Good Luck.

Your doctor must have started it as pregnancy support. Discharge is common post vaginal insertion as some of the medicine comes out after it melts.
The other option is taking it orally if vaginal insertion is bothering u.

It is usually given in pregnancy if you had previous miscarriage or have ivf. But you have not mentioned if your pregnancy test is positive or not.

Hi, yes, you can take Dydrogesterone 10mg thrice daily till bleeding stops followed by twice daily for 3 days, once daily for another 3 days and then stop.
