there is no painless vaccine at the movement in India unless someone has done stocks of such . data narrates a bit of lower efficacy in compression with non painless (DTwP) vaccine.

PCV is vaccine for Pneumococcal Diseases, which includes Pneumonia, Ear Infection and Meningitis (Fever with Convulsion). This vaccine will help to prevent these pneumococcal infection.
Rota Vaccine will help to prevent Rota Virus related diarrhoea, which is common in infants.
So, I ll suggest you to go ahead with vaccination.
And post vaccination there is no pain or fever, with these two vaccines, so you need not to worry.

Hi lybrate-user, prevenar does not cause fever. It's the DPT vaccine that's responsible bfor fever, pain and swelling at the injection site given at 6,10,14 weeks.

The vaccine is given generally to less than 2 years old child and adults more than 65 years old. It is not required for others unless some chronic disease occurs.

if it has been left ...u can start at any age .

1 year to 2 year of age then 2 doses 8 weeks apart.

and if child.is above 2 years then single dose is sufficient.

in my opinion u can choose single dose at 2 years ..which would save your money ..but remember there are many pneumococcal vaccine available from which always prefer PCV13.

Not required in adults because for adults there are enough exposure since birth and so antibodies formation in body occur without vaccination

There is Pneumococcal vaccine which can be given during the pregnancy, and save the mother and child from cold, pneumonia etc for the next three years.

Hi
pneumonia vaccine is helpful to prevent serious pneumonia and meningitis. Government is not making it compulsory due to economical reasons. In western world it's compulsory. You can decide the rest.
