Hello Doctor, I hope you will safe and sound. I wanna tell you my mother is a serious ILD patient. Her treatment is started for the last two years. She is regularly taking six or nine tablets of pirfenex 200 mg. But her condition is continuously diminishing. Due to low oxygen, she is also provided with supplemental oxygen through oxygen concentrator. I want to know, is there any alternative with which she can be treated and her status can be improved. Thanks.

Pirfenedone is for IPF , a form of ILD of no known cause and age related.and gradually progressive in nature.

My mother had been detected with interstitial lung disease around 2 years back. We have consulted many doctors who have advised us to take pirfenex tablets. However, it does not seem to be improving the condition anyway (although the condition may be considered to be a bit stable). We also have increased the dosage of the tablets from 2 to 4 now as per the advise of the doctors. Can you help us to get a better treatment / cure for this disease?

The correct dose for ild that is uip pattern or idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is 1800-2400 mg/day
thatâs 9-12 tablets of 200 mg/day
the dose needs to be adequate for it to have an effect also liver enzymes and side effects need to be monitored

Hi, my father had covid in the month of october 2020, his age is 68 and by treatment he got well. During hospitalization, drs treated with remidisever inj. Now he got some breathing problem while walking more than 2 kms, so we tested hr ct scan and found that he has interstitial lung diseases. Chest physician had given tab pirfenex 200 and also tested for ana profile. I want ask how long he has to take medicine to cure this diseases and any effect on routine life style due to ild. What precaution that has to taken. Kindly suggest is there any alternative therapy in ayurveda to cure it.

If its ild, then it needs to be evaluated properly as it can be post covid ild or ild due to other cause. Some ilds can be treated depending on the cause, but requires proper monitoring and follow up. And focus on pulmonary rehabilitation. For further details you can consult with me on private chat.

My father aged 70 has been struggling with severe breathlessness and irregular heart beat. He has hf diagnosed and has a aicd implanted since 2015. Right now on vymada 100 twice dytor 5 once coralan 7.5 twice crevast gold once eptus 25 once. He also has ild diagnosed in nov since when he is on defcort 6 once and pirfenex 200 thrice. He was earlier having cordarone since 2015 and stopped taking since sept 2021 inline lung issues. Recently his acid has started showing vt ns and his breathlessness is getting severe. When tried to increase vymada to 200 and dytor to 10 his bp started going around 80/50 hence had to again switch to lower dose. Dr. is not recommending cordarone or any substitute even when vt ns are being recorded daily. Any suggestions on avoiding vt and helping with breathlessness.

nothing need to add. u can use oxygen to make him a bit comfortable. once your doctor advise in how much quantity any nurse can manage once then u people.

My mother is 56 years old suffering from ILD NSIP since 11 years. The present ct scan has suggested diffuse ground glass pacification of bilateral lungs with extensive areas of interstitial thickening and cystic changes in bilateral lungs. With a view lungs seems to be 80 % as fibrosis. She is with oxygen 24*7. The doctor has suggested medrol 8 mg, mucinac 600, assurance, vrzcal,pirfenex 200 and foracort 2 puffs. Kindly suggest if any changes are required.

If lungs are 80% fibrosed and shows cystic spaces in most of lung parts, then nothing will help much except long term oxygen.Medral may help considering ground glass opacity. Pirfenex, foracort and mucinac is of no use.
