Asked for male, 56 years old from Visakhapatnam

Sir my father is suffering from acute ischemic brain stroke from 7 months. He is using the medicines specially for brain stroke are prexron plus, aspirin, atorvastatin and a medicine neurlin which is combination of vitamin b6+vitamin b12+folic acid. I want to know, should a medicine prexron plus which is combination of two elements i.e. Citicoline and piracetam be used till now. My father is already using this medicine from 7 months. Old Dr. Suggests to continue this medicine but a new doctor don't. He suggests to take only and only one medicine in morning which is combination of aspirin and atorvastatin. Medicine name is ecosprin av 75. Is this medicine enough to treat acute ischemic brain stroke and as a future stroke protector? please sir advice me as soon as possible. Thanks.

Ecospirin and atorvastatin are essential in preventing ischemic stroke. Further medication is required based on the presence of intracranial blood vessel occlusion, presence of atrial fibrillation (rhythm abnormality of heart) etc. Which can be commented only after getting results of ct angiogram/mri tof ,ecg and echo of heart. My son is 3 years 5 months old. He hits himself and becomes aggressive and behaves violently he hits his head on the wall, he hits his throat stomach and so. So we consulted a pediatrician and through EEG we came to know that he is having abnormal epilepsy activity. He is taking EPTOIN, piracetam and VALPARIN syrup from july but it continues the same and it is becoming really worse. He started hitting his head and biting others at the age of 2.we thought as he is kid he will change when he grown up. But if we dint give anything he wants or if we talk to him politely not to hit his head on the wall or something else also he starts hitting himself. And the attack continues till half an hour. If we tries to stop him he become more aggressive. My wife was admitted 25 days in hospital for second baby delivery he dint see his mom for 20 days and one day he came with us to the hospital after seeing my wife is having a baby on her lap he started behaving more aggressive than the before for the past two months .when he become aggressive he hits the baby as well. He is not sleeping deeply at night he starts crying and hitting himself at the midnight time. He is not even eating properly. If we say anything he repeats the same to us. And he says the same sentence again and again. It is very difficult to capture a video of him as he hits his throat and stomach we will be stopping him. He is taking EPTOIN - 5 ml, piracetam SYRUP (NOOTROPIL)-5 ml, VALPARIN-5 ml at the night time an EPTOIN - 5 ml, VALPARIN-5 ml during morning. Please help me and suggest us what to do to stop this?

It is not clear whether baby gets injured while he is hitting himself. If it is not so, he may have tantrum. It is advisable to consult either pediatrician or psychiatrist. Since EEG showing abnormal changes, continue treatment as per advice of your doctor.

The psychiatrist prescribed me one medicine that included following ing: benfotiamine (150mg, mecobalamin (1500mcg, alpha lipoic acid (100mg, chromium picolinate (200mcg) & inositol (150mg) for anxiety disorder and strongness of nerves but after taking it for 10 days once a day I observed side effects as mind could not do multiple tasks I want to ask till how much time its effects last and what can be done to reverse the side effects as I have heard that its prescribed to diabetic patients and as I m non diabetic so till how much time its effect will last.

Mr. Lybrate-user, these are only vitamins (benfotiamine, chromium is and b12,) lipoleic acid is an anti oxidant, chromium picolinate is a micronutrient, helps insulin action in every one plus essential for various other functions. These drugs are given as additional or supportive therapy and to treat nevous system related symptoms. These are not exclusively for diabetes. If you feel there are side effects because of that, stop the dose. Effects will go away.

After taking mecobalamin, benfotiamine, inositol, alpha lipoic acid & chromium picolinate on psychiatrists advice for anxiety disorders and nerves pain related to it I m experiencing side effects like over strongness of nerves like I m not able to think 50 times before answering any question and do multiple tasks like before how come it be cured iz it due to the stiffness of nerves and how it can be cured fast.

Is uric acid 7.27 safe? est test is 1. Anything to worry about? my doc has prescribed febuget 80 for a month+hosit plus (mecobalamin, alpha lipoic acid, folic acid & pyridoxine, hydrochrolide) for a month + bontas 60k (cholecalciferol soft gelatin capsules) for 8 weeks (1 per week). Just wanted to ensure it is fine. I recently changed my doctor.

I have VITODOC O3 PLUS from morepen laboratories it has omega3 fatty acids, alpha lipotic acid, cyanocobalamin & chromium picolinate soft gel capsules. How often i can eat it as omega 3 fatty acid. Daily dose or not and for how long (one month) or continue as i take multi vitamins. Please advice thank you.

You can take this supplement once a day. It is quite safe to do so. But do not take other multivitamins along with this. It may lead to overdose of some specific compounds.
