In t2 dm there is insulin resistance but there are no antibodies against it. Insulin resistance can be reduced by maintaining near normal body weight and a bmi of 23kg/m2. Exercising for more than 1 h a day is a good method of improving insulin resistance. Drugs like metformin and pioglitazone also help in reducing the resistance.

Dear, Yes your sugar levels are not well controlled and you are on a number of medications. But do not worry you still do not need to be insulin as we can still increase the doses of your medications. Glimepiride 1 mg can be increased so can met for min and pioglitazone. However januvia or sisal up tin is at the highest dose possible.

1) triglynase 2 forte is a combination of glimepiride 2 mg+ metformin 500 mg+ pioglitazone15 mg.
2) now there are better drugs than this tab.
3) you should take a tablet which increases your beta cell mass
4) if there is a good b cell mass it will produce more endogenous insulin.

Hello,
your blood glucose is really high for your age. You need to control your blood glucose levels aggressively, otherwise, you will be at a very high risk of diabetes complications as you are young. You need some drastic lifestyle changes and change in medications. When did you do your hba1c (glycosylated hemoglobin)

Hello, thanks for the query.
Tablet gluconorm 500sr is containing only 500 mg of metformin in sustained release form. Where as the gluconorm pg2 contains glimiperide 2 mg and pioglitazone 15 mg. The second tablet must have been prescribed because the blood glucose levels are not in control. Thanks.

So, you're currently taking basal bolus with a dpp4-i. For some reason you're the doctor has not put you on metformin or other medications. Your weight is bound to go up since you're on insulin. I'd suggest you to get your blood workup done and visit a nearby diabetologist/endocrinologist to help you better.

Mr. Lybrate-user, looking at the details provided, it is possible to reduce your hba1c% <7, by just increasing your daily exercise by a few minutes and also by adujusting daily intake marginally. There is no need to add any additional drug. You are really maintaining blood sugar levels quite well. Keep it up. With regards.

Hi
You have maintained a good HbA1C value. Individual high blood sugars depends on what you eat prior to it. Have a high protein diet to keep your blood sugars low. Have an early dinner. Avoid high calorie food for dinner.
if your a non vegetarian include 2 egg whites everyday for breakfast and you can consume skinless chicken and fish.
