You can not suddenly stop all medications, gradually tapering will be required.
Cannabis use will lead to some others problems, so cannabis use instead of paxidep cr will not be advised.

Hi, stopping paroxetine abruptly frequently causes withdrawal symptoms like tingling all over body, restlessness, insomnia, palpitations, sweating, tremors, etc. To prevent this, first make sure that you don't need it anymore. Then taper off gradually and there are some drugs which can be taken to prevent these symptoms if required.

Hi lybrate-user,
Thanks for posting your query on Lybrate. One dose of paroxetine would not cause any harm. But be careful next time.

Urine urgency may not be due to paroxetine. i feel it is due to anxiety associated with depression.
Severe constipation also may be due to depression itself. Please consult your doctor again and she/he may incre...more

Dear lybrate-user,
How long the medication will continue depends upon why you are taking them and what is the severity of your symptoms. Usually the anti depressants are taken for at least 6 months and then it has to be continued depending on your response to medications. If you are suffering from side effects please consult psychiatrist who can adjust the dose or change the medication. Thanks
