Dear lybrate-user, muscle stiffness is often a part of anxiety disorder and not due to medicines. However I would request you to discuss the same with your treating psychiatrist and see if he can help you by adjusting the dosage to give better relief. Take care.

Hello
It is possible that upon more exploration some stole point towards panic disorder and anxiety. The medicine will surely help. But please allow a few weeks to pass by for it to show its full effect.
Alongwith that you can adopt a better healthier lifestyle and also opt for therapy. Ideally cognitive behavioural therapy and relaxation (jpmr) techniques when combined with medicine pari cr can lead to best outcome.
Please have patience and faith and continue with both.

Dear lybrate-user,
the change in medicine often makes you uncomfortable for short duration. Gradually anxiety goes away afer 3-4 days. You can wait for few days till you feel better. Doctor might have changed medicine considering some points of your symptoms. I would not be able to solve your problem until I know all your problem in detail. If you have intolerable problem you can either consult me or other psychiatrist.
Else you can talk to your own psychiatrist for such complaints.
