Pantoprazole is category b drug (safe in animal studies; not studied in humans). It should be used only in acute gastritis diagnosed by endoscopy. But it is prescribed by majority of doctors for pregnancy induced gastritis, without any ill effects (to my knowledge).

Dear lybrate-user you need to bring changes in your lifestyle and fooding habits. Not to remain hungry for long hours and requlate water intake. For now use nux vom 200 once daily for 5 days and consult back.

Avoid spicy food, sour items,carbonated beverages, smoking and alcohol.
Maintain 2 hrs time gap between dinner and sleep.

Better you can take antacid gel for another 15 days from the day symptoms subsides. And take again if symptoms comes.
