Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. who so ever is treating the patient.

It is better to avoid the drug if you are considering conception. Consult your physician/ neurophysician whether an alternative drug can be taken for seizure which is comparatively safer. If not, you can go ahead with pregnancy. Intense monitoring and lookout for any congenital malformation will be required..

As you know well ,Epileptic drugs should not be stopped suddenly, If higher doses are no longer required, Doses are tappered graduall, under guidance of Neurologists. in most cases chances of recurrence are low .but it also depends upon the type & cause of epilepsy.

Yes, above mention tablet is contraindicated to take during pregnancy. So you need to inform your physician that you are trying for 2nd baby and the doctor will change the medicine for you which will be safe to take during pregnancy.

You need to see your neurologist You should not stop the medication as your convulsions might increase

It's better to change the tablet as it may cause neural tube defects. Kindly do an usg btw 16-20 weeks to look for any early anomaly.
