I want to take some vitamin D and calcium supplements or multi vitamin. Which will be better for me.
Hey. Thank you for your query.
Whether to take multivitamin or vitamin d or calcium depends on the deficiency or medical disorder you suffer from.
You cannot randomly take supplements. Supplements only help if your body needs them.

Hye.
Thank you for your query.
Supplements will benefit only if you are deficient in any of the nutrients or a medical condition calls for a supplementation. Randomly adding a particular vitamin or mineral supplement won't help and in fact could have side effects as well.

Dear Lybrate User
Vitamin D is required for proper absorption of Calcium apart from numerous other functions. If your Vitamind D levels fall below 30 you may ask a doctor and get a Vitamin D supplement prescribed. You can safely supplement your diet with Vitamin D, include lots of vitamin D rich foods e.g. Mushrooms, tofu. Apart from having vitamin D rich foods also get ample exposure to sunlight.
