Hi, My wife is 7-8 weeks pregnant and is very skinny (weighs approx 35 kilos). She has nausea and has been vomiting. She is unable to eat any solid or liquid food and is constantly vomiting every intake. After a visit at doctor she was prescribed folic acid as vitamin pills and emeset-4 mg (Ondansetron) for vomiting. Is it safe to take the emeset tablet. Will it have any immediate or after effects on the fetus? Thankyou.

I am 20 weeks pregnant. Tomorrow I got severe loose stool, vomiting,pain in upper abdomen. I rush to nearby hospital where I got iv fluids with one injection of metronidazole and one injection of ofloxacin and pantop and ondansetron. Today I visited to my gynaecologist she said these injections are not safe during pregnancy. I am very tensed that can these injections harm by baby. Today I got ultrasound fetal heart rate is normal kindly revert.

My wife is pregnant via IVF. She has twins and 6 week pregnancy. She is suffering from severe nausea and vomiting, taking doxinate tablet BD but no improvement shown, ondansetron 4 mg bd also failed but granisetron 1 mg works well. I want to ask that taking granisetron in pregnancy is safe or not and how long can my wife take it and what is the exact dose? Please tell me. I am so much worried.

Granisetron s safe in pregnancy. It can be taken as long as nausea n vomiting is persistent. Exact dose 1 mg three times a day. But it can be taken as and when required as well maximum 3 times a day.

On 5/9 I had unprotected sex and fell ill and then I was on azithromycin500 mg for 5 days. Then on 24/10 I had one capsule of wow omega 3 and fell dizzy from then I have many symptoms like muscle, joint, stomach pains and headaches all have progressed one by one. I had hiv report which was negative and cbc and urine routine. Cbc showed low lymphocytes count which was 850 range was 1000-3900. I am currently on meds naprosyn 500 and nurokind cl and ranidom. One thing is that I have started eating eggs on 23/10. I am having fear that I have autoimmune disease and will never be fine. I was very fit before 24/10 and play sports and go to gym. Please help.

1.do not worry. I think you are just having anxiety due to the fact that you had unprotected sex.
2. For your safety, if possible also get hiv, hbsag and anti hcv test for the girl you had sex with.
3. Also do repeat hiv, hbsag and anti hcv at 1 month and 6 months
4. These tests are usually called viral markers. These are usually done to rule out viral pathologies transmitted due to sex/blood transfusion/needle stick injury.

I am suffering from Insomnia from 2 years. My insomnia started due to digestive problems. I have gerd. Then doctor consulted me pantakind twice a day after meal ,ranidom antacid thrice a day before meal and ezepam 0.5 mg before going to sleep. I continuing this medicines for 6 months but when I stopped medications then my insomnia and indigestion like bloating and gerd come back. Then it happens continuously .now I stop all medications. I started patanjali divya medha vati two tablets twice a day after meal. Badam organ 2 drops per nostril twice a day. I daily do exercise pranayama and yoga. But I do not feel well. please tell me something that I completely beat my insomnia and digestion problems. I knw that my digestion is affecting due to insomnia.

Eat a early and small dinner. Have warm water bath before going to bed. Better have brisk walk in the evening. Try doing yoga /meditation before going to bed. Fis time of sleep. Avoid day type sleep.

After returning from a outstation trip of 4 days, my daughter of 3yrs had vomtings, and I gave unidron (ondansetron oral solution) of 5ml at one night. The vomiting stopped and from the next day, she is refusing to have food. She is having 1 or 2 spoons and telling me, im getting vomiting, I dont want to eat. Im giving only that 2 or 3 spoons of rice, she doesnt vomit. If I forcibly try to feed her, shes behaving as if, she is yet to vomit. This is the situation from 3 to 4 days. Previously I dont have any problem with her food. If she feels hungry she used to ask me n eat. Now she dont want to eat. What should I do? She is not having food, so she is feeling low and she wants to sleep. What should I do?

Your child could be dehydrated. If she passing very little urine and is drowsy, she needs admission for i've fluids.

She is suffering from nausea vomiting conditions from 4-5 months. Sudden painful backaches. Pain during micturition. ! 1 month ago she was diagnosed for gallstones. And urinary tract infection. Hi, my daughter is 2 years old, she is not taking any food except mother's milk from last 5-6 days. From last three days she is having nausea and vomit in her sleep and only in midnight and after vomit she sleeps well. She were fine in day time and there was no any other symptoms like fever, cry etc. Yesterday my doctor suggested to have syp ondem 5 ml twice a day & syp ranidom pd 2 ml twice a day for five days. We gave this to her last night and today morning and after this she took half chapati today in lunch but after that she developed loose motion 4 times til now still no other symptoms and fever. We also gave her iron syrup to her in the morning. What could be reason of night nausea and vomit? What should we give her for loose motion and this nausea? Should we continue the dose I mentioned above? Thanks in advance.

If having vomiting, stop iron for now. Give ors powder & zinc syp (5 ml od x 14 days) for loose stool. Syp ondem is to be given thrice daily. If still confused, pm me.

I am 21 years old female under treatment for nausea ,vomiting, diarrhea from last 2 weeks. The prescribed medicine are metronidazole 400 mg 3 times, ciprofloxacin 500 mg 2 times, ranitidine 150 mg 2 times and Racecadotril (for 3 days 3 times a day), Ondansetron (3 times for 7 days). Now I am better with vomiting and diarrhea but I feel lot of gas inside my stomach unable to pass gas, only burps and sometime hiccups and I feel nausea/vomiting at night. My CBC, LFT ,KFT, Ultrasound test are normal. Ps - I have previous medical history, I am under treatment for my depression from the last 2 years. I am taking carbamazepine 200 mg two times a day and clonazepam 0.25 mg two times a day. Please tell me how much time it will take to recover. I am feeling very low just because of my nausea/ vomiting.

Sir/ma'm, my mom lost her appetite since last 40 days. Her ca-125 level was 1089 and usg revealed ascites. The cect done. But did not reveal so much. Then performed laparotomy and biopsy report and cell block preparation confirmed abdominal tuberculosis. She is taking akurit 4 tab, benadon,udiliv 200 and cobadex czs since 20 th june. But after 4/5 days starting of medicines she has severe vomiting. She can not eat anything. Anytime she has tendency to vomit. Doctor prescribed ondansetron inj and pantocid dsr tab. But she is not getting well. Today (4/7/2020) we have done lft and kft. Serum creatinine is 1, total bilirubin--5.1,sgot--333, sgpt--235, alp--270. Doctor advised on phone to stop all medicines except udiliv and cobadex. And to repeat lft after 7 days. Should I wait. Or I need to admit her in hospital? Are all parameters very high for her? Can they lead to death very soon (somebody told me that she will die within 3 days if not hospitalized)

lybrate-user, her ca-125 is on the higher side but iâm sure her treating physician must have ruled out everything including malignancy. For some patients, their liver enzymes can get deranged. The best thing is to stop the treatment until bilirubin comes back to normal. If she stable and you are very worried you can repeat her lft tomorrow a and send me the reports.
