Asked for male, 32 years old from Bilaspur

Hello sir, My dad is 64 years old. He suffers from type 2 diabetes and hypertension. He takes olmezest am 40 for HTN. My question is - can he take OLMAX LN 40 as it contains another calcium channel blocker cilnidipine at 10 mg (5 mg cilnidipine is not available with olmesartan. As per my research on pubmed articles are in favor of cilnidipine as cilnidipine is an N-type and L-type CCB that also inhibits sympathomimetic activity in contrast to other DHPs and amlodipine therapy has adverse effects, most commonly pedal edema. So Cilnidipine being an N-type and L-type CCB is associated with lower incidence of pedal edema compared to the L-type channel blocked by amlodipine.

Clinically seen effect of Cilnidipine is different from Amlodipine in a lot of patients. Although, 10 mg of Cilnidipine is considered equivalent to 5 mg of Amlodipine, a shift from Amlodipine to Cilnidipine may lead to reduced efficacy atleast fir the first 1-2 weeks. You may change the medicines if unacceptable pedal edema is present.

Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.Clonazepam is for helping sleep and these drugs are not kanown to cause sexula dysfunction . You should have told your age . If you are diabetic and hypertenscie the sexula dysfunction are a result and you need to control the diseases

I am om Blood pressure medication from last 3 years, first I was prescribed olmesartan then olmesartan with amlodipine for sometime then olmesartan + amlo+hydrochlorothiazide mix, now I am on olmesartan + hydrochlorothiazide 20 mg, I feel little panic and anxious all the day, mu bp never be in control I never know what is the problem with me, my dialostic bp is always high, physical activity is nil, could someone help me with better medicine please present range of bp is 140/100 with olsar h 20.

As you said your physical activity is nil. Try to improve that first. Plus you need to control your stress and anxiety. Healthy diet low in salt, fat, simple carbohydrate and rich in fibres, vegetables along with daily exercise may help to control your bp.

I am using olmezest h20 tab but sometimes bp increases some times showing normal. Recently I consult a physician he told me that add amlodipine 5 mg with olmezest h20 or triolmezest. Pls suggest triolmezest or olmezest 40 h.

Trio is much more potent than olmisartan h 40 will reduce BP by about 10-15 mm, trio by double this amount.

Hypertension since 15 years. High level uric acid. Lever fatty. Taking olmesartan40. Bp is now 140/90 or above. Is any other medicine required with omlesertan which can take in evening. Concor and amlodipine not tolerating because edema occurs when used.

Hi, My BP was 140/100. Doctor gave me amlodipine 5 mg which I took for 4 days and then due to side effects I changed doctor .then I took a single dose of olmesartan 20 mg and my BP is 117/80. I discontinued it. I am monitoring BP at home on omron. After 48 hrs it is still same. What should I do?

Previously I was taking triolmesar (olmesartan 20, amlodipine 5 and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5) my bp was 120/80 now doctor changed (amlodipine 5, dytor 5 mg) in morning and bed time minipress xl 5 mg, moxilong 0.2 than my bp is 120/75. I want to know which is group of medicine is more effective and which is heavy dose.

Hi.
Olmezest and Olmetime both have same component (Olmesartan), just different brand.
I wonder why your doctor has written 2 different brand of same medicine.
For the BP you are having, I will suggest taking 20mg both in morning and evening.
