Asked for male, 48 years old from Hyderabad

I am 49 years old I have bp I take olmezest 10 mg when I take the tablet bp is getting down eg. 98/55 when I don't take the tablet bp goes high why is that happening please help me knowing. I am a film director I will need to participate in movie script discussion and when I do so my bp goes high please help me in finding out the solution.

Please do an ABPM (24 hrs BP monitoring), that will give us an idea of years BP fluctuations in 24 hrs. Go for walking and avoid high salt intake.

I am suffering from anxiety, I am also obese to take bp readings regularly but all readings are with in normal limit. I am using olmezest h20 for bp. Pls suggest anxiety tab. I feel restless. Regards.

Hi, i think the bp readings you have mentioned are vice versa for systolic and diastolic.. neways switch to tab Triolmezest 40 mg once a day for better control of bp

Dear sir, My grandma have been blood pressure and diabetes since 10 years and her usual treatment or medication are going on. When her legs are swelled extremely ,she reached to a cardiologist. The doctor had written olmesar h 20 (Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg, Olmesartan (20 mg)) tablet for it. Is it safe to give this medicine to a diabetic patient?

Yes it is safe to use these medicines in diabetic. But what is reason for swelling. If not investigated then get her tests done. With these medicines and in elderly keep checking her electrolytes periodically.

If blood pressure is not controlled after taking three or more drugs then it may be matter of concern. You should follow lifestyle measures rigorously to complement medicine. Loosing some extra kilos also part of it. Ask your docor to look for any missing factors like kidney problem or painkiller use etc.

Can olmesartan medoxomil tablets increase blood sugar than previous under normal range. My blood sugar was 105 after meal and after taking this tablet. It increased to 137 after meal. Kindly advise some good medicine for high bp. It remains 150/90 without medicine.

Hi lybrate-user. ARBs rather have beneficial effect on BSL. Now come to your BP. It's 150/90 .its Stage 1 HT with DM as a risk factors. I would suggest you to adopt healthy lifestyle. Stick to Low sodium diet n daily walk is important. Now one can not advise good medicines like that. ACEi or ARBs are choice of drug less than 60 years of age with BP target of 130/80 mm hg. I would rather go with ACEi as you are having DM. Bit one need to evaluate you first. Feel free to call me. Regards.
