Most claims about masturbation are not backed up by science. There is often no scientific evidence to show that masturbation causes any of the adverse effects suggested. Masturbation will not cause:
blindness
hairy palms
impotence later in life
erectile dysfunction
penis shrinkage
penis curvature

Dear Lidia,
Since how long are you taking citalopram? Usually this weird sensation settles down in 3-5 days. If it is not settled, please consult your doctor again. She/he may add an anxiolytic for 3-4 weeks or may shift you to another group of antidepressants.
