Dear Renu,
Citalopram starts its action after 2-3 weeks only. It also acts in a particular dose. Please follow up with your doctor after 2-3 weeks of citalopram. Some persons living with recurrent depressive disorders, may need a mood stabiliser in addition.

Please do not experiment with medicines. This is not something you can do on your own, based on what you have heard. Do not take any medications on your own without the approval of your treating doctor. The side effects of mixing medications can be life threatening and often fatal.

Dear Ernesta,
If you are finding citalopram useful, there is no need to change. You can try 10 mg before stopping. It is always better that you are off drugs before planning pregnancy. It also depends on how severe was your depression earlier and how much helpful and understanding your partner is.

Either contradict them by finding positive examples or simply reject them if they are not true. Your anxiety is only a warning signal trying to warn you of something, give it a patient listening. Much like taking a shower everyday is good for your physical health, weeding off negative thoughts is good for your mental health. Making t...more
