What is insulin therapy?
Insulin is a hormone that is responsible for keeping the level of sugar in the blood under control. It is the primary therapy used for the treatment of any type of diabetes. The dependence on insulin depends on the balance between the actual production of insulin in the body and the resistance of the body cells to the insulin produced. People, who suffer from diabetes type 1, need insulin injections lifelong. The requirement for insulin therapy in people suffering fr...more

Either you take nova rapid or jardiance because both decreases blood sugar. Yes with nova rapid sugar was not controlled then you can take both simultaneouly. No problem.
We can decrease dose of nova rapid accordingly.
Regarding foam in urine better you go for urine complete analysis. Then tell the reports. Most probably phosphates are passing in urine. You can ask on line.

Hi you r a diabetic. Your injection site is not healthy. You need to follow a proper rotation technique for injection. Not at the same site always. The area you are referring need to be left for few days without injection. It will improve on its own. Take care.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. It is difficult to answer question without having important specific details like serum creatinine, urea and protein levels in urine. Plus there is no mention of fasting, pp glucose levels as well as hba1c%. If you are on insulin degludec, then glucose levels can be very well controlled by increasing the dosage in relation to the fasting and pp glucose levels. It is also possible to add a pre-prandial (before breakfast or...more

Novorapid is a short, rapid acting insulin that is typically given in 3 shots/ day (called Bolus insulins shots), with each major meal. It is more convenient to give this insulin in the hospital, when patients are admitted for infection/ surgery/ procedures/ delivery etc. Eglucent Mix 25 is a premixed insulin that contains two components; 25% of short, rapid acting and 75% of intermediate acting insulins. This needs to be taken only twice daily and hence, more convenient for the out patient.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Please tell me how did you come to know that the insulin taken starts absorbing after 1 hour? Action of this insulin starts with in 10 to 20 minutes of injecting sub-cutaneously. Hence it has to be taken about half an hour before taking food. Thanks.

Dear, Can feel your anxiety about your health. Your insulin dose needs to be increased with help of treating Dr. This isn't due to resistance to insulin that you've been taking. If you use glucose ter to monitor your blood glucose, it'll be very easy to adjust the dose of insulin. Insulin dose is always changing based on your requirements.

There are many types of insulinis. Most of them are available in pen. If you are type 1, you would benefit from buying a permanent insulin pen. You would only have to change the cartridges when the insulin gets over inside. Most companies have helplines in place to assist taking of the injections.
