Hello. Eustachian tube block can happen during cold and cough episode. Did you also have fever? You need to start with decongestant medicines and nose drops containing xylometazoline to improve your clogged nose and relieve the swelling around eustachian tube. Take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day and a cough syrup containing ambroxol would be helpful. You can opt for a teleconsultation for a detailed medication advise and a better understanding of the problem.

That should never be used for longer than 4-5 days!
you now have acquired a condition called rhinitis medicamentosa, or an addiction to xylometazoline!
please meet a reputed ent surgeon in your neighborhood immediately, who will examine you thoroughly, to remedy the situation.

Dear lybrate-user
nasal spray/drops containing oxymetazoline (naselin) or xylometazoline should be used only for a week or two which can cause rhinitis medica mentosa (rebound congestion). If you are having this nasal blockage for a few months /weeks it could be due to deviated nasal septum (i.e. Bent nasal bone from inside) or inferior turbinate hypertrophy commonly but other causes should also be ruled out.
