Sleeplessness can be due to many conditions. Overdosage of Thyroid tablet can cause sleep issues. Lack of exposure to sunlight can cause sleeplessness due to low production of Melatonin hormone. Stress, Abdominal obesity (causes sleep apnea), drinking too much before sleeping etc can cause sleep issues.

Warm milk. You can put a tasty spin on your grandmother's natural insomnia remedy by sipping warm milk before bed. Almond milk is an excellent source of calcium, which helps the brain make melatonin. Plus, warm milk may spark pleasant and relaxing memories of your mother helping you fall asleep.

Dear Hermen,
Yes. She can take Melslumb 6 mg along with other tablets. She can try with 3 mg initially. Melslumb has melatonin which is a sleep hormone from thymus gland. Harmless tablet. May be some water soluble vitamin is added to it. Again harmless. Solian and Valium are also sedating tablets. If she has sleep disturbance, she should get diagnosed for sleep disorders along with other treatment.

Stop taking junk food and deep fried foods. Take good amount of water. Take bananas regularly as they contain Bromeliad which helps in maintaining the sex hormones. Also garlic (contains Allicin), watermelon and pomegranate might help to some extent according to some studies. Get exposed to sun regularly for maintaining your Vitamin-D, melatonin and serotonin levels in your body.
