Nitrobest 100 MG Tablet Health Feed

Asked for male, 30 years old from Bhubaneswar

I have frequent urination with burning sensation. Since 3 days. I faced it in night also. My sleep got disturb at night as I woke up 2 to 3 times at night. I took levofloxacin 500 mg and nitrofurantoin 100 mg since 2 days .how many days I will take these and still I woke up at night for urge to urination. Should I add some other medications.

Dear lybrate-user you exhibit symptoms suggestive of urinary tract infection. You have been evaluated well and thankfully your urinary tract shows no structural abnormality. There is no kidney stone, kidney size and prostate is normal.
Urine culture shows signs of infection, hegde you must take antibiotics.
Most of the infections occur on acidic urine. So in addition to having more water, you must have a syrup to alkanise the urine. Then burning sensation will resolve.

sorry to hear about your uti with pregnancy have you had a urine culture and sensitivity done? If not kindly get it done
nitrofurantion is safe drug in pregnancy, continue taking it, you need few days for drug to show its response, wait for culture report, if needed you may have to take different drug according to you culture report good luck.

My father age 67 is undergoing treatment and taking prescribed medicines for mild stroke which he suffered in january also taking medicines for benign prostate hyperlexia and kidney stone etc and also when he was in catheter for few days there was white particles in the catheter and red colour urine in catheter after few days he had infection did urine culture test found candida sp therefore doctor prescribed tazloc and nitrobest tab for few days and it was ok now since 2 days his right testicle is swollen comparing to left also there is slight pain and also outside looks red please tell me what to do? He is taking these medicines :- 1) veltam 0.4 2) met xl 25 3) atocor 20 4) ecosprin 75 5) syndopa 110 6) shelcal os 7) apigest syrup 8) clonotril 0.25.
