Hello, Thanks for the query.
Using Nicotex gum is found to be beneficial in some people for quitting the smoking habit. Most important is the person himself has to be ready to quit smoking and then try this for a few weeks and stop that too. There are a few side-effects but those are usually minor and managable. Thanks.

For strong lungs, chew 3 to 5 peppermint leaves each day.
To treat congestion, add a few drops of peppermint oil to a pot of hot water and inhale the steam.
You can also drink 2 cups of peppermint tea daily. To make the tea, add 1 teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves to a cup of hot water.

Never give up on him. After many attempts he is bound to succeed. I understand your frustration but be patient because as soon as you give up, he will too. Sometimes, it will be your motivation that will goad him on. But be very careful that you don? t nag him. You are what is called a? co-dependent, that is you have become dependent on him dependent on tobacco. You can at the most just remind him, get help for him and then leave it up to him.
