Nicoace MR Tablet

Nicoace tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is prescribed for people with painful rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is composed of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, Chlorzoxazone. This medication works by blocking the effect of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes which make chemical prostaglandins at sites of injury or damage, causing pain, swelling and inflammation.

You should not be taking this if –

• You are allergic to this medication or other anti-inflammatory painkillers.
• You ever had a problem with stomach or duodenal bleeding such as an ulcer.
• You have a heart condition or impaired kidney or liver function.
• You are pregnant of breastfeeding a baby.
• You have high blood pressure or blood clotting problems.

  This medicine is excreted in urine and the effect lasts for a duration of 12 to 16 hours.

  The peak effect of this medicine can be observed in 1.5 to 3 hours after oral administration.

  This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women.

• Is it habit forming?

  The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. However, the missed dose should be skipped if it is almost time for your next dose.

This medication is composed of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that helps relieve pain. Prostaglandins are responsible for pain, inflammation, swelling and fever. Aceclofenac inhibits the action of cyclooxygenase in the brain which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. Paracetamol is a pain relief medication that selectively inhibits enzyme function in the brain which allows it to treat pain and fever. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant that is used to treat the muscle spasms and the pain caused by the same.
