BP is a fluctuating problem, it can increase or decrease from time to time and is also age related (you have not mentioned your age so it will be difficult to say if 140/90 is acceptable BP for your age) my suggestion is keep a watch on your BP and if it persists to increase or remain above 130/80 mm Hg continue with atleast one anti-hypertensive, also do lifestyle modifications, diet change as these will help reduce need of medication. Best will be to do all of this under supervision and follow...more

You can follow the suggestion given by the other doctor and observe the body's response to it. Have patience as it may take some time for the body to respond positively in some cases. Keep doing the right things: 1) Daily exercise for 30 mins to 1 hour (add yoga and pranayam - learn it from an expert for better results) 2) Eat healthy food (more of natural food / organic food and avoid junk food/ processed and packaged food and beverages.
3) Take the medicines at the proper time.

Hi take ginger tea mixed with 2-3 crushed garlic cloves. Massaging the chest with warm sesame oil mixed with salt helps to loosen the phlegm deposited in the chest, especially, when followed with steam inhalation. Take shwas kuthar ras twice a day. Pranacharya asthamin capsule 1-1 twice a day. And pranacharya shwas vikarasav 2-2 tsf twice a day. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take hot water steam.

BP can fluctuate from time to time, because it is dependent on multiple factors. With age requirement of dose of medication required may also change. Given your age, my suggestion, consult a cardiologist so that they can assess any underlying cause (like a blockage in heart) that may have led to this sudden rise in BP, and if all else is fine, you may just need a change in your medication dose. So please consult your cardiologist with a ECG, Echo, lipid profile and kidney function test report.

Nebistar or concor are beta blockers and have very mild BP lowering action. With age as BP increases beta-blockers become less effective singularly and require additional medications. It will not be possible to prescribe the medication online without proper evaluation, so it will be better that you consult a cardiologist locally for treatment prescription.
