My elder brother is a 100% PH person. He is suffering from Urine Infection since 2006, now he is taking Fosfomycin Trometamol powder, suggested by a Dr. From chennai apollo hospital. Now he is suffering from loose motion after using this medicine, Dr. Suggested him to take this medicine for 3 months, already 1 month over and he is suffering from loose motion and weakness. Is it a side effect of the medicine/ is there any harmful activity of this effect. Please give me a suggestion.

Hello Doctor, I am now 29 weeks pregnant, in my urine culture e-coli is about 1 lakh. Also blood present in urine with 20-25hpf rbc count, plenty of pus cells with bacteria in urine analysis report. My gynecologist suggested cyst one, fenza and fosfomycin for curing infection. Am not having any itching symptoms so far but little white discharge I could see when urinating. Will these infection harm my baby?

Yes it can harm. Better take homoeopathic treatment. As it has no side effects. And allopathic treatment hardly cures the ECOLI.

Health Query

From 20 days the pus is come out from my penis. I used two types antibiotic cifroflaxaxin and fosfomycin but when I talking antibiotics then I feeling well but when I left then I feel not good and again the pus coming start. I went to the lab and done with urine culture and sensitivity test the result was negative and also done with urine test pus cells 1-3 now. And total leukocyte count 11500.

Hello-
pyuria is a condition that occurs when excess white blood cells, or pus, are present in the urine. Pyuria causes cloudy urine and frequently indicates the presence of a urinary tract infection (uti). If you went for test after using antibiotics then the test will surely come false negative. Pus from penis/urinary tract can be due to a unprotected sex session or due to uti. If yes then better try ayurveda.

Sir I want to ask that m suffering from UTI the organism isolated found is Esch coli so I consulted a doctor here so he prescribed uroberry and fosirol and nitrofurantoin medicine becoz colony count is 10^5. I want to know if this bacteria is caused by sexual contact or not becoz he said that your partner is infected from this virus tell him to test once. Medicines are so costly and are not affordable. So what should I do. I searched in internet. Nothing like this I found that e coli is caused by being sexual involved. So what should I do. Should I tell my partner to get a urine culture. I don't have any idea about this and don't evn have enough money to do it privately. And don't know whether to trust my doctor or not becoz he is a government doctor and instead of treating us in the hospital for free he charges 500 rs for every single time for just meeting him. Please help me with my problem.

I have been prescribed ornidazole and ofloxacin for pain in my bladder and stomach. Still mild pain exist after completed 10 days course. So I ordered urine culture test myself. Result e coli is observed urine color: pale yellow, clear ntu, 50000 cfu/ml. Resistant to ciprofloxacin, cefoperazone/sulbactam, piperacillinTazobactum,ERTAPENEM, cefepime/Tazobatum, nitrofurantoin, ceftriaxone/Tazobatum, meropenem,cefixime. Sensitive to gentamicin, amikacin,Tygecyclin, fosfomycin. Is the infection low or high? Should I consult doctor? What should I do to completely get rid of the infection?

I will suggest you to contact your treating doctor and Apart from taking symptomatic treatment I usually prefer giving you tablet Zifi-O 200 mg twelve hourly and we can confirm your symptoms after three days or else we will have to go for injection therapy after clinical examination.

You will have to contact your doctor again and in my opinion, Apart from taking symptomatic treatment take tablet Zifi-O after contacting your doctor and within three days infection needs to be under control.

Hi I am 21 years old woman, in the past I suffered from urinary tract infection. It was cured with ciprofloxacin and fosfomycin by my doc 1-2 years ago. It recovered and my complaints ended. But occasionally I have now burning sensation in my urethra. It is not like my old uti experience I don't have fever-shaking etc only I feel hot and burning after peeing. It is not always, only reoccurs when I don't drink enough water and when I consume spices, especially alcohol and mostly in winters. When I don't consume them, keeping my feet warm, I feel comfortable and with the winter's coming the symptoms renewed. Is it something chronic, sti or bladder disease? What could it be? Thanks for helping.

I am 24 have recurrent uti for last 6 months. I have done culture test for 2 times first time the bacteria was present but second time nothing is presented. I have done 3 course of antibiotics and I have done usg abdomen scan that report is normal but now I have take (fosfomycin powder) for last two weeks my doctor prescribed for continuous 4 weeks but now I have seen one or two small black dots in my urine. I really worried I don't know what's happen in my body. I really fell its sign bladder cancer on the other side I have encourage myself its come only for using this power but one for last 6 months I have never scene this black spot in my urine just two weeks only I have scene it for sometime but I don't know what's the exact reason plss tell my I don't have cancer please.
