My grand child aged 2 years, was having slight suffocation in breathing after recovered from viral fever. For the control of fever he was given amoxicillin +Clavulanic acid dry syrup. Slight suffocation at times (kurukal in malayalam language )observed after the recovery of fever which persisted for about a month. Then again consulted with the same Doctor and prescribed, levocetirizine Hydrochloride syrup, Ambroxol Hydrochloride and salbutamol Syrup, Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate solution (5 mg/5 ml 2 times, Montelukast 4 mg tablet etc. I would like to know whether Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate solution (5 mg/5 ml 2 times) is required for this slight difficulty (kurukal) in breathing. I would also like to know, whether this steroid drug will affect the growth of the child or precipitate any hidden diabetic issue. Kindly answer to doubt.

Most often it's viral infection. Fever usually settles down in 3 to 4 days. Cough takes 7 to 10 days. Continue same treatment. Small children get frequent infections because of low immunity.

Dust can cause allergy but smoke is irritant.Your airways appear hyperresposive. It is better to use telekast f instead of sinarist as it containe both antiallergic and antiinflamatory.Every one brings out small phelm early morning and three/five/day which a normal protective phenomenon .Our lungs have the capacity to bring mucus and dust inhaled during day to bring upto throat by mucocilliary mechanism and after that one have to cough out it fron throat.

H pylori infection is not something very urgent. Its better to delay taking these medications till 12 weeks as data regarding safety of these drugs in first trimester especially clavulanic acid in lacking.
Need to keep a ckeck of your bp. Its on the higher side especially the diastolic.
You drink plenty of water, take frequent small meals and need to add antacid.
