Im 29 yrs. And i'm pregnant by 5 weeks and 4 days If I take misoprostol pill. So is it safe for me. As I can't afford a baby right now. And how long will my bleeding last. Will it be very painful.

I have done my test by the pregnancy test kit and it came positive. But want to go for an abortion now and got to know about the medicine i. E combipack of mifepristone and misoprostol. Hi , yes you are right. You can go for medical abortion but first you must rule out ectopic pregnancy before taking this medicine.

Bleeding may continue for few days. There is no such limit of days which we can comment about. As you said it is less compared to day 1 then it's good. You need to get sonography done after 14 to 21 days to confirm completion of treatment.

For you to have completed abortion, you should keep tablets in the vagina within 36-48 hours after taking mifepristone tablet.

Ibuprofen is fine for pain relief. It should be taken with caution and not very frequently. You can take it at an interval of 6-8 hours preferably with food.

no you do not need a marriage certificate for medical abortion pills but ID PROOF is required.
before prescribing you the pills doctor will take a written consent and will ask for ID PROOF

lybrate-user, before advising you, wanted to ask if you got an ultrasound done, to rule out for ectopic pregnancy ,but since you already have initiated the process, you may take two misoprostol pills at 11 pm in night and observe for what you pass out, and again the remaining two tabs after 24 hrs only if required.

Mesoprostol only will not cause abortion. First get your usg done for evidence of extra or itrauterine pregnancy and weeks of pregnancy consult your doctor because sometimes abortion I snot complete with these drugs and you may need d&c.
