Believe at age above 60, even systolic blood pressure till 150 is acceptable. Once in a week bp monitoring, mild reduction in salt intake (after monitoring electrolytes balance), and then periodic review with your doctor should help. If you have been using propranolol fro some time, then it is clinical judgement, but pls don't suddenly start it at 80 mg/day, as it can cause sudden fall in blood pressure.

Dear lybrate-user,
a wholistic treatment is best for curing anxiety disorders. The medicine part can only be decided by your psychiatrist, but as a psychologist I strongly advise psychotherapy sessions, as both medicine and talk therapy along with yoga/breathing exercises etc will definitely help lower anxiety.

Exposure therapy helps you. You have to keep saying to yourself that you will come out of this problem. If you decide, then it becomes easy for you. In this therapy, you should start going out to places which you fear directly and face the consequence. Or take someone with you and go the places . First day just go near that place, next go a bit forward, third day some more distance. In the same continue till you come out of that fear. You can and you will definitely overcome fear.
