Follow these dos and don’ts to help your knees feel their best.
1. Don’t rest too much. Too much rest can weaken your muscles, which can worsen joint pain. Find an exercise program that is safe for your knees and stick with it. If you're not sure which motions are safe or how much you can do, talk with your doctor or a physical therapist.
2. Do exercise. Cardio exercises strengthen the muscles that support your knee and increase flexibility. Weight training and stretching do, too. Fo...more

What is dose of metoprolol? high doses of beta blockers like this can lead to weakness but that is not weakness but feeling of relaxed! yes you can take multivitamin. You must continue with metoprolol only as other reports are normal, this medicine protests the heart, specially if bp is fluctuating but talk to your doctor about the dose. My suggestion is 25 mg /day every morning and in evening if required if bp is high on borderline. Do moderate exercise to boost up metabolism.

Please correct your previous conditions and list of medications.
Mood stabilizers may be addictive and also cause such side effects. Which ones?
Rosuvastatin and aspirin probably over medication, required after heart attacks, not before.

Gender- female age-27 I am on metoprolol succinate 50 mg for 19 days now and I have been experiencing weird symptoms ever since taking the medicine. After 5 or 6 hours and sometimes after an hour I start feeling tightness in my throat and pressure headache around eyes. I also feel unable to breathe freely. My body also feels light but head feels heavy. On checking stats on pulse oximeter saturation is between 96-99 and pulse between 65-80. Bp is 68/102. I take metoprolol succinate for tachycardia. Could this be a side effect of the medicine? I have been feeling this way almost everyday for past 19 days since I am on the medication. On telling my cardiologist he did not provide any satisfactory reply. My echocardiogram showed trivial mitral valve regurgitation which the doctor told was normal. I am also taking etizola 0.5 mg for anxiety at night. What could be causing my symptoms. These symptoms make me worry and want to rush to the hospital but I was told by the doctor not to worry. But I am skeptical about it. Also, I have been feeling irritable and restless too for a few days now. Please guide me, I need answers and my doctor refuses to provide me with them. Also I feel heaviness in the left side of my chest.

Dear Lybrate user
you may visit and take a second opinion on your heart-related issues. Consulting an expert ayurvedic doctor might also help. There can be a possibility of side effects from the medicine. Whenever you have these side effects it may lead to feelings of worry, tension, and anxiety, as you are not clear about the reasons for having these difficulties. These overwhelming feelings may in turn lead to an escalation in breathlessness, worry, etc. So this is like a vicious cycle.more
