There are different medicines available for treating diabetes, which includes older drugs like Glimiperide, metformin cobinations, some DPP - IV inhibitors and many types of insulins. Some newer drugs like Degludec Insulin and Dapagliflozin are definitely more (very) expensive. It is safe to take these medications.
Chest pain is not because of medicines, it may be because of hypertension or weakness or may be other pathology.
Prolonged hypertension may cause problem in sexual health, but not these medications.

Hi, Since it's an emergency state it's okay if she used 1 dose of metoprolol tablet. It's category c drug. Which means no controlled studies in human pregnant women is conducted so far. Moreover, the condition is emergency and benefit overweight the risk. So, Please do not worry.
