Take plenty of fresh fruits, 5 servings in a day, include dark coloured ones.
Eat seasonal vegetables
take one egg white a day, egg yolk only twice a week.
If you take non vegetarian, east some chicken/ fish. No red meat
milk and milk products also are good
headache may not be from this.

Yes if it is swollen than that means you have not given the injection properly use ice pack on the area and take anti inflammatory drugs other wise abcess me develope at site.

You didn't mention your age. It could also be due to acute condition of arthiritis. Or simply due to less calcium and vit d3. Start taking calcium with vit d 3 .it may be relieved.

take nuts almonds and banana.
