Diabetic patients may experience greater loss of body fluids due to high blood glucose levels, which can cause your skin to become dry. You are having type 1 diabetes and are on the correct regimen of insulin. type 1 diabetics require to compulsorily take insulin thrice a day. although there are insulins avaliable which are effective for the entire day, just taking that one shot wont be enough in your case and you may land up with complications. People who are on one shot of insulin in a day are having a completely different type of diabetes, one in which tablets are also useful.
