I am 26 unmarried student. I have bacteria in semen. In culture reports some injection or sensitive like meropenem. Sir what is the treatment of semen bacteria infection. I have 4 type of bacteria in semen. No bacteria in urine. Staphylococcus aureus. Morganella morgannii. Escherichia coil. And klebsiella species. This is bacteria. No fever. irritation in bladder. I feel urine all time. reply me sir.

My mom is a depression patient. Currently she is taking lithosun (400 mg), joykem (400 mg), parnil, recita 10, migrabeta- tr 20 as prescribed by psychiatrist. She few days her whole body is shaking. She could not eat food or ever wear clothes properly. We are really stressed. The doctor is saying that its just due to anxiety. But it have been more than a week and there is no improvement at all. Please suggest if its time to change doctor or just the medicines. Should we also go for some tests or is the tremor on hands and body is really just due to stress and it can be cured by these medicines. Please suggest. It has been almost four year she is fighting with depression and is on allopathic medicines. Some of my friends are suggesting to visit tibetan doctor in lajpatnagar. Please help me with best solution and do not just answer as a formality. She is also a diabetic patient.

Stop lithosun and see if the tremors disappear, it may be drug induced also. Get a second opinion if needed as the tremors can also be due to joykem (amisulpride) for which a supplement or alternate needs to be chosen. All the best.

I have been prescribed 10 days course of ofloxacin and ornidazole for stomach and bladder pain. I still have pain so I ordered urine culture test myself which came back positive for e.coli infection. Pale yellow, clear ntu, pus cells 2-3/hpf, 50000 cfu/ml, resistance to ciprofloxacin, cefoperazone/sulbactam, piperacillinTazobactum, ERTAPENEM, cefepime/Tazobatum, nitrofurantoin, ceftriaxone/Tazobatum, meropenem, cefixime and sensitive to gentamicin, amikacin,tigecycline, fosfomycin. Is my infection low or high? Should I consult doctor again? Why it is resistant to so many antibiotics?

You will have to contact your doctor again and in my opinion, Apart from taking symptomatic treatment take tablet Zifi-O after contacting your doctor and within three days infection needs to be under control.

Why is it happening inspite of use of meropenem. Tigeracyclin.and other heavy antibiotics. What is the problem.

My father, aged 68, is currently hospitalized and is diagnosed with blood infection, non-cardiac pulmonary edema and severe back pain upon jerks or postural change. He has been cleared of myeloma. His MRI, x-rays and pet Scan showsabnormal contrast on two spinal vertebrae. Doctor is suspecting Spine TB though the Biopsy is still awaiting. However, prelim reports from the Biopsy lab shows no trace of TB though. He has been on antibiotics for 5 days now (meropenem) and he has shown very good improvement so far (including decrease in the back pain). However, I want to know how long it could take before he would be able to hold blood oxygen levels again. Currently he needs 2-3 Litre for saturation. Does it need some more medication to get that level and can we bring him home? Hospital seems to be delaying things to extract continuous money. About his Spine condition, what else could happen? Could it be some simple inflammation as he never had any back pain before?

Hello, I am facing irritation while urination. We have consulted two doctors so far, one told it is very serious issue and suggested inj. Mero (1gm), inj. Pantocid (40 mg), inj. Paracetamol (1000 mg), inj. Emeset (2 ml), tablet drolgan (80 & 100) for 2 times a day for a week. We got panic and went to another urologist specialist, he was cool, asked us not to panic, told not serious as of now and suggested urispas tablet for me and oflomac for myself and my wife for a week. By the end of that week the irritation was not there. Again after 2 days of stopping the tablet, again irritation is there when I urinate. Doctor has asked to take semen culture test now. I am really worried and panic about this situation, is it serious or nothing to be worried? Attaching blood test results: urine culture test - colony count - 80000 colonies/ml. Organism isolated - pseudomonas. Antibiotic susceptibility report: amikacin, meropenem, gentamicin, ofloxacin, piperacillin/tazobactam - sensitive.

Your symptoms are suggestive of complicated urinary tract infection. As per culture report, inj meropenem was good choice but it should be continued for longer duration followed by oral antibiotics for total of atleast 10 to 14 days. An ultrasound of kidney ureter and bladder and prostate is madatory. You should consult with a good physician or a nephrologist for proper evaluation of uti and optimal treatment. Take care.

I am a dermatologist in Patna. My 5-month son had meningitis. Visited the child specialist and doctor did ct scan of brain and found hypoxic encephalopathy with mild cerebral edema and examination of csf gave the result of level of protien as 125 mgm%.that time blood examination gave result as - hemoglobin 64 %,leukocytes 12500/c.m.m, cpp positive. The main medicine and injection course was given as meropenem 210 mg, vancomycin 80 mg in 20 ml ns, levitractem,gardenal etc. This injection was given him for 15 + 21 days (the gap between these two continuous dose was 1 month). Some of my friends suggested me to visit neurologist/neuro physician. Please suggest me what should I do? I think he gets a problem in drinking milk and might be some other pain which family doctor is not able to get exact.

Hello my mother was having obstruction jaundice due to metastasis breast cancer so ptbd and then after a month starting was done in meanwhile interval ptbd culture report came and it was having klebsiella pneumoniae and pseudomonas spp they started with cefepime+ tazonactum antibiotic and now they are given same above mentioned antibiotic with ciplox but her fever is not going from last 5 days she is having low grade fever which reach up to 100 F at 5: 30 pm after starting antibiotic and putting wet cloth on her head it comes down to normal. There is nothing is her blood culture report. Please suggest anything so here fever goes away.
