Hi lybrate-user! you must have been young at the time you took the injection from your gym trainer, going to gym at such a young age is not necessary, you are from delhi right, it is advisable to consult your family or your family doctor before taking any injection, coz the person who gave injection was not a doctor. Mephentermine is a sympathomimetic agent with specificity for alpha-1 adrenergic receptors. It is used to maintain BLOOD PRESSURE in hypotensive states such as following SPINAL ANESTHESIA.
Adverse Drug Reactions. Drowsiness, incoherence, hallucinations, convulsions, slow heart rate (Reflex Bradycardia). Fear, anxiety, restlessness, tremor, insomnia, confusion, irritability, and psychosis. Nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite, urinary retention, dyspnea, weakness.
