Mephentermine

Mephentermine is mainly used to steady blood pressure levels in hypotensive states, for instance, following spinal anesthesia. It is a sympathomimetic agent with mainly indirect effects on adrenergic receptors.

Although the central stimulant effects of this medicine are much less than those of amphetamine, its continued use may lead to amphetamine-type dependence.
