Belonging to a class of drugs known as nasal decongestant, Megatuss D Syrup helps in treating common cold, allergies, hay fever and flu. It provides relief to the nasal passage by shrinking the blood vessels. Megatuss D Syrup is therefore used in sinus and nasal congestion. It is sometimes also used to treat urinary or stress problems.
On using Megatuss D Syrup you may experience side effects such as a dry mouth, headache, nausea, constipation, stomach upset, dizziness and drowsiness. Certain severe reactions include seizures, hallucinations, irregular or slow heartbeat and difficulty in breathing.
Before using Megatuss D Syrup, consult your doctor and discuss if you have a history of heart, diabetes or thyroid disorders or high blood pressure. Also tell your doctor if you’re pregnant, are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.
