Dear lybrate-user, You can consult the surgeon for the change in antibiotic. With Cefalosporins loose motions are a common side effect that is attributed due to normal gut flora being disturb. I would suggest to keep her hydrated and home made Butter milk and curd to be given. Lactobacilli preparations are available OTC (Probiotics) like Yakult, they will also help.

main cause of typhoid fever is poor hygienic conditions.
Typhoid is most commonly spread due to poor hygiene habits. When someone comes in direct contact with (by drinking or eating) water or food that has been contaminated by the salmonella typhi, there is a high chance of getting infected with typhoid.

For fever take half tablet paracetamol 650 mg and can repeat it after eight hours as and when needed and I will suggest you to eat nutritious home made food with adequate fluid intake and take physical rest
