Losartan 25 x 2 is very similar to 50

Sir, you already are on three medications for your Hypertension. Lercanidipin, Atenolol and Losartan. All these medicines have their own share of side-effects. Your doctor must have prescribed them to you with a purpose. May be that your blood pressure was not coming under control with single drug. Along with the drugs have you exercise schedule in place. No alsartan is not steroid and it does not cause cancer in best of my knowledge
yes it is an antihypertensive medication and high/uncontrolled blood pressure may have effect on vasculature of eye and can have many effects. Talk to your physician and opthalmologist.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. As regards your blood glucose control, it is excellent. In such a situation I do not see the need for any additional medication like pioglitazone half tablet twice a day. As regards bp and changing to benidipine it may be in your doctors judgment that drug could be more suitable to you. I really have no say on that. However, I do not see any reason for adding pioglitazone with metformin when you have such a good control. Thanks.
