What ever may be the treatment you are taking you should give up alcohol with determination. Once youngive up you should maintain abstinence. Withdrawl symptoms last for 10 days after you give up alcohol. The distress is mitigated by benzo diazepines and supportive measures. My best advise is to go to a psychiatrist and you will be advised after full evaluation.

Just want to say you that don't take any medicine by your own. You need to consult with your previous psychiatrist because he knows your symptoms very well .I think do follow up with the Dr. & ask him. That will help you definitely.
